NBC Universal renovated space in its iconic 30 Rockefeller Plaza to create a social and meeting hub. Program spaces included TelePresence rooms, videoconference rooms, a smart bar, a pitch room, talent lab, meeting rooms, and multipurpose rooms. The project incorporated state-of-the-art technology and audiovisual systems throughout the space, including in the elevator lobbies.
Our work included acoustic separation and privacy for the renovated spaces as well as creating an appropriate interior acoustic environment to enhance the listener’s experience. We worked with the design team to provide NBC Universal with suitable privacy between spaces, while maintaining a visual connection through use of glass front wall assemblies. Another important objective of the project was to install HVAC equipment that provides the required level of cooling to fit in the somewhat constrained areas available for this equipment.
